Oklahoma work zone safety bill aims to curb speeding risks

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA (KOKH) — Oklahoma highway construction crews are highlighting the serious risks they face daily, as they work just one foot away from moving traffic.

At a press conference Wednesday morning, road crews, advocates, and survivors voiced their support for Senate Bill 1434, which seeks to enhance speed enforcement in work zones.

The bill proposes using automated devices to capture images of vehicles and license plates when drivers exceed the posted speed limit by 10 mph or more.
