Parts of West Gore to close for 4-lane widening project

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Starting Monday, May 6, West Gore Boulevard between 67th and 82nd Street will be closed as construction gets underway.

The construction project is set to widen the road to four lanes, while creating a center turn lane, and bicycle lanes. Construction is expected to continue through May 2025.

Joseph Painter, the Director of Engineering for the City of Lawton, says they’ll be reconstructing that stretch of road to include more lanes, including a bike lane.
