Problem Solvers Make Bipartisan Push to Restore Planned Surface Transportation Cut

WASHINGTON — Members of the bipartisan Problem Solvers Caucus on Monday urged House Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., and Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., to restore federal surface transportation funding slated to be dramatically cut this coming fiscal year.

The request came in a letter to the leaders led by Problem Solvers Caucus co-chairs Brian Fitzpatrick, R-Pa., and Tom Suozzi, D-N.Y. 

Reps. Rob Bresnahan, R-Pa., and Salud Carbajal, D-Calif., also signed the letter.
