Roadwork to begin on Gore Blvd., closing down parts

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) - Roadwork on Gore Boulevard between 67th and 82nd Street starts Monday morning, May 6.

Officials with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation said the road between Northwest 74th Street and 82nd Street will be the first area closed. It’s expected to be shut down through July.

A spokesperson for the city said when the project is complete, there will be four lanes along with a center turn lane and bicycle lanes.

OKDOT officials said this is a more than $13 million project which is supposed to be completed by early next 2025.
