Carper Calls for DOT to Tackle Safety Crisis

Citing an increase in highway fatalities, the leader of the committee on highway policy in the U.S. Senate pressed for additional resources to remedy the matter. Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.), chairman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, called on U.S. Department of Transportation officials to proceed with urgency in tackling a safety crisis on the nation’s roadways.
