Smooth rides ahead? Highway 60 fixes start June 23 in Bartlesville

If you've driven Bartlesville's stretch of Highway 60 lately and felt like your car was auditioning for the Cavalcade Rodeo, there's good news: smoother rides are on the horizon.

But first, some traffic headaches.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is kicking off an asphalt maintenance project on June 23 on Highway 60/Adams Boulevard.

City staff were notified this week that the 3.7-mile project, which spans West from the U.S. Highway 75 overpass all the way through downtown to State Highway 123, is expected to be completed by Aug. 1, weather permitting.

One lane in each direction will remain open throughout the project, however, drivers should expect lane closures, blocked intersections and potential delays.
