TULSA, Okla. — The Oklahoma Department of Transportation made some emergency repairs to a Tulsa bridge after a man’s Facebook post showing cracks on it went viral.

Scott Phillips took to Facebook Monday afternoon to let people know—in his opinion as a mechanical engineer—the cracks he saw on supports for a Broken Arrow Expressway bridge over 21st Street did not look good.

“It was one of those things just bright as day, that we had an issue there,” Phillips said.

He posted a picture of the cracks with the caption: “Note to Self: Do not drive East bound on the BA over the 21st St. overpass for the foreseeable future.”

“Honestly, I thought I’d get maybe five laughs and three comments and that would be it,” Phillips said.
