WASHINGTON (KSWO) - The Biden-Harris Administration is awarding $10.7 million to the Cherokee Nation to continue expanding a zero-emission EV charging and refueling infrastructure in Oklahoma.
New investments from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will add more than 11,500 electric vehicle charging ports and expand hydrogen and natural gas fueling infrastructures in communities nationwide.
The grant is one of 49 projects that will deploy 11,500+ EV charging ports and hydrogen and natural gas fueling infrastructures along corridors and in communities across 27 States, four Federally Recognized Tribes, and the District of Columbia.
President Biden set a goal of building out 500,000 publicly available EV chargers by 2030. They are currently on track to achieve that goal early.
