Timetable to close Cleveland for work moved up

Enid News & Eagle By Kevin Hassler Dec 19, 2024

ENID, Okla. — The timetable to close a portion of North Cleveland for the street widening project has been advanced, Enid city commissioners were told during their meeting Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024.

Jason Unruh, city engineer, provided an update on the project.

Cummins Construction, contractor on the project, wanted to change the schedule in order to work more closely with BNSF Railway, Unruh said.

“Right now, the plan will be to shut Cleveland at the tracks beginning the very first of January, probably Jan. 13,” he said. “Initially, they were planning on closing it sometime in mid-February. They moved it up about a month.”
