Traffic Signal Change Alert: I-44 & Gore Boulevard

Drivers should be aware of recent traffic signal changes at the Gore Boulevard intersections on both sides of I-44.

Both intersections allowing vehicles to enter the interstate have been changed to a permissive left turn operation. This means there is no longer a dedicated green arrow for left turns onto the interstate ramps.

Drivers turning left should proceed only when there is a safe gap in oncoming traffic.

The updated timing is designed to improve overall traffic flow, but drivers may notice traffic operating differently than before, especially during busy afternoon hours.

Please slow down, pay attention to signal indications, and use extra caution while everyone adjusts to the new traffic pattern.

City crews are monitoring traffic conditions and will continue evaluating operations at the intersection.
