Traffic signal slated for ‘Y’ intersection at Highway 81, Highway 7

MARLOW — Progress moved forward with a traffic signal at the Highway 81 and State Highway 7 intersection during a regularly scheduled Marlow council meeting this week.

During Tuesday’s meeting, board members opened discussion for a maintenance agreement on an Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) project for the installation of traffic signals at the U.S. Highway 81 and State Highway 7 intersection in the City of Marlow.

City Administrator Jason McPherson said this is on ODOT’s radar to lay out a traffic signal at the intersection of Highway 81 and Highway 7, also known at the “Y” intersection. “Three sides of the core at the ‘Y’ are within the Marlow city limits,” McPherson said. “Only the car lot is in Duncan city limits.”
