In the future, the Turner Turnpike will have three lanes increasing the safety of travel between the two largest cities in Oklahoma.

Thousands of cars use the Turner Turnpike every day to get from Oklahoma City to Tulsa.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority announced that plans to add lanes, lighting, and interchanges are underway, and barriers will be up in two weeks.dss

In a few weeks, the Turner Turnpike will undergo its first widening project. The project, which is a component of OTA's five-billion-dollar, 15-year ACCESS Oklahoma plan, will continue east of Tulsa, where the Driving Forward Project left off.
