Turner Turnpike to close Saturday night for bridge removal

Eastbound and westbound lanes of the Turner Turnpike will be closed overnight Saturday for removal of the Old Stroud Road bridge.

Traffic will be detoured from 7 p.m. Saturday through 7 a.m. Sunday to State Highway 66 between SH 18 (mile marker 166) at Chandler and U.S. 377/SH 99 at Stroud. The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority reported the project also will require closing of the Stroud and Chandler service plazas during the detours.
