Two city street projects near completion, others on tap

Two major Tahlequah city street projects are coming to a close, and several more are in the planning and engineering stages.

City Administrator Taylor Tannehill said Cedar Avenue and Ross Street will be complete within four weeks, with just minor work remaining. A walkthrough was completed last week, with a punch list provided by contractors to city officials on both roads.

“You can drive on both these roads but for final paint on the ground, probably within four weeks until complete,” Tannehill said.

Allen Road is in the design stage, and the city is working with engineers who have surveyed the property. A list of right-of-way acquisitions will be given to the city by the engineers, then the firm will start working with utility companies.
