University of Oklahoma President supports proposed Norman turnpike interchanges

University of Oklahoma President Joseph Harroz Jr. publicly backed the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority's planned South Extension interchanges at Tecumseh Road and Alameda Street during the authority's public meeting Tuesday.

Harroz submitted a letter supporting the interchanges Aug. 3 and appeared before OTA the following morning. He echoed comments from his letter during the meeting, calling the two interchanges "absolutely essential" to OU and Norman.
