Work begins on John Kilpatrick Turnpike widening project near Wilshire Boulevard

OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (KOKH) — Drivers on the John Kilpatrick Turnpike near Wilshire Boulevard should expect narrower lanes and shifting traffic starting Monday as a major widening project begins.

Widening work is scheduled on the I-344/John Kilpatrick Turnpike, weather permitting, as part of the ACCESS Oklahoma long-range plan. The turnpike will be widened to six lanes between W. Wilshire Boulevard at mile marker 116, to a half-mile north of Northwest 122nd Street at mile marker 120.
