JENKS, Okla. — Drivers taking the 96th Street bridge may want to consider a new way across as lane closures are expected to start next weekend and are expected to last for half a year.
Local businesses near the bridge are worried for their customers and their own commutes as construction begins to ramp up.
“I saw the sign go up and I knew that it was definitely going to slow down so many things, especially when school is getting started and the high school’s getting started or getting out,” said Miriam Bennett. “It already gets backed up as it is and I know for one thing that’s going to make it so much worse.”
When signs like ‘Road Work Ahead,’ ‘Work Zone,’ or ‘Speed Limit of 25’ started popping up, Bennett knew businesses could be impacted all due to the construction set to start on September 15. View the full article: FOX23.com
