Drivers work to block traffic during water main break until crews arrived

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) – Oklahoma City utility crews are working to determine what caused a water main break in Southwest OKC. Two men driving by took it upon themselves to block traffic until city workers arrived.

“I was coming through here and noticed some water, and we hit a big o’ bump,” said Bobby McKee.

That ‘big o’ bump’ was near Blackwelder and Southwest 44th early Wednesday morning.

The city said under the concrete was a 16-inch water main break.
