State Highway 100 bridge over Tenkiller Dam to close for two years starting October 6

GORE, OKLA. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District, has initiated a significant bridge replacement project that will necessitate the closure of the State Highway 100 Bridge over Tenkiller Dam starting October 6.

The bridge, which has provided safe passage across Tenkiller Ferry Lake for over 70 years, is set to be demolished and reconstructed over the next two and a half years.

Raymond Todd, project manager for the USACE, Tulsa District, said, "The bridge served its purpose for more than seven decades but has reached the end of its service life."
