OKLAHOMA CITY — Major construction on Interstate 40 east of Oklahoma City will close westbound lanes between Choctaw Road and Douglas Boulevard through Monday morning, causing potential delays for drivers this weekend.
"We're doing a complete I-40 rehab," said Jonathan Brooks, resident engineer at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
He explained that the project aims to widen I-40 to six lanes in the area, with only a small portion left to the west of the current project.
