OKLAHOMA CITY – The 2025 general obligation bond package that Oklahoma City residents will vote on next week has 547 infrastructure and quality-of-life projects totaling $2.7 billion to be completed over the next decade.
City Manager Craig Freeman said among the first projects that would be tackled — in addition to street improvements — are improvements to the USA Softball Complex and Riversport facilities so they are ready for the Olympics in 2028.
Holding a bond election about every 10 years is how the city takes care of infrastructure needs, Freeman said Wednesday during a forum hosted by the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber.
The 2025 bond election on Oct. 14 divides the projects into 11 propositions, which shows “the breadth of how much we’re doing to invest in the city,” Freeman said.
