Drivers in Oklahoma City should brace for another round of traffic delays as a slew of construction projects are set to narrow lanes and close ramps across major highways and intersections, including work on I-40, I-35, and I-44 that will impact daily commutes well into 2026, according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Notably, westbound I-40 on and off-ramps at Anderson Rd. have now reopened, but similar closures for eastbound ramps will persist through autumn, while westbound I-40 itself will see intermittent narrowing to one lane between I-240 and Douglas Blvd. from 7:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. nightly through to Friday, adding to the headache for nighttime travelers, furthermore drivers are encouraged to use the protected turnaround at Town Centre for better access to eastbound Industrial Blvd., however, southbound Douglas Blvd. to eastbound I-40 has been closed alongside restrictions on turning at Douglas Blvd. from I-40 exits.
