OKLAHOMA CITY FACES TRAFFIC DISRUPTIONS FROM EXTENSIVE HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION THROUGH 2025

Oklahoma City commuters continue to experience traffic disruptions as multiple construction projects narrow lanes and close ramps across major highways and streets.

According to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) release, yesterday, the westbound I-40 off-ramp to Douglas Blvd.

was temporarily closed from 9 a.m. to noon for guardrail repairs.

Lane reductions remain in place along I-40 near Douglas Blvd.

in Midwest City, with ongoing work expected to continue through most of 2025.

Both directions of I-40 between I-240 and Town Center Dr. will experience continued lane closures, while eastbound I-40 at Air Depot Blvd.
