Report shows 34 states falling into recession, but Oklahoma is seeing growth. Here's why.

This is according to Moody's Analytics economist Mark Zandi, who shared recent data that shows 21 states and the District of Columbia, which contribute about a third of U.S. economic activity, are already in a recession. Another 13 states, comprising roughly another third of the economy, are treading water, and the remaining 16 are growing, he said.
Even though the nation at large is not experiencing a recession, Moody poses that if you live in one of the 34 states in a recession, you could be feeling a pinch in your pockets.
